Three-minute meditation for work

Three minutes between pressure and what comes next.

A short reset for the gap before a meeting, after a hard conversation, or when your attention keeps switching tabs.

The practice

Set a three-minute timer. Then begin.

Keep your eyes open if that feels better. Nothing needs to disappear before you move on.

  1. Arrive

Set both feet down. Let your shoulders fall. Notice where your body meets the chair.

  2. Lengthen the exhale

Breathe naturally. Let each exhale become a little longer, without pulling in extra air or forcing a count.

  3. Name the transition

Silently acknowledge what just ended: “That meeting is over.” “That message has been sent.”

  4. Choose one next thing

Ask: “What are the next few minutes actually for?” Pick one answer, not the whole plan.

  5. Begin

Feel your feet again. Open your focus. Start only the first small action.

If focusing on the breath feels uncomfortable, use the feeling of your feet or the sounds around you instead.

Why a transition helps

The calendar changes faster than attention does.

A new meeting can start the instant the last one ends, while the mind is still rehearsing, defending, or solving what came before.

This practice does not promise to erase pressure. It gives the transition a clear shape: arrive, exhale, name what ended, and choose what begins.

Make it specific

Give Mimir the sentence that is actually true.

“I have three minutes before a difficult meeting and cannot stop rehearsing it.”

Vindla can turn that sentence into a guided session in your choice of eight styles. Use Zen Minimalist for sparse direction or Warm Guardian for a softer tone.
